    Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Ophthalmology

    Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the field of ophthalmology and eye research, offering innovative solutions and advancements in diagnostics, treatments, and patient care. With the advent of advanced imaging modalities and techniques the increasing use of AI in eye research is not surprising and our lab is no exception.

    From identified vascular changes preceding tomographic changes in diabetic eyes to discovering differential epithelial remodeling after refractive procedures like LASIK, SMILEand PRK, our work covers a broad range of topics. Discover how AI identified unique corneal features of allergic eye disease, and a novel combination of corneal confocal microscopy, clinical features, and AI for ocular surface pain evaluation.

    Witness the efficiency of artificial intelligence in identifying regional differences in tomographic parameters of keratoconic corneas, and an universal architecture for AI-driven early diagnosis of keratoconus. Our latest work employs AI-based stratification of demographic and ocular surface high-risk factors to investigate the progression of keratoconus.
